During this summer's gas price run-up, the Focus was Ford's hero. In July, Focus sales were up 16 percent compared to the year before even as Ford's overall sales dropped 15%.
With gas prices down - way down - and the economy even worse, Focus November sales fell 38%, a little worse than Ford's overall sales.
These discounts push the cost of a compact Focus into the range of competitor's sub-compact offerings. The Focus is still a good small car for those looking for comfortable and efficient - if unexciting - daily transportation.
