The first wiki
1995
American programmer Ward Cunningham developed the first wiki as a way to let people collaborate, create and edit online pages together. Cunningham named the wiki after the Hawaiian word for "quick." The most famous example of a wiki today is, of course, Wikipedia. NEXT: ICQ
