The computer networking giant is trying to get its $66 million termination fee.
Deal announced: 09/28/2007
Deal withdrawn: 03/20/2008
Investors: Huawei Technologies
Value of the deal: $2.2 billion

Bain claimed the US government, specifically the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), had killed the deal due to national security concerns; but for some observers that sounded like a convenient excuse.
