The thumb-slapping bassist for the Red Hot Chili Peppers was watching Who Killed the Electric Car? and as he relates in a blog post, "When the film ended, in a fit of inspiration, much to my wife's chagrin, I went online and plunked down the dough and purchased a Tesla Roadster." Like everyone who had bought a car early on, Flea sweated it out for about a year before he was able to drive a prototype. "It just rocks," Flea writes in summary.
