Can the $10.6 billion oil and gas producer, which has seen a 42% jump in profits so far this year, continue to meet demands without operating its own refineries? In October, the business clashed with a former manager and Ukrainian officials over the Kremenchug refinery, where Tatneft claims partial ownership. After failed attempts to reclaim its stake in the facility, Tatneft, which posted profits of $260.9 million in the first quarter this year, has had to look elsewhere to fulfill its refining needs.
