Co-founder, 23andMe

What was the "a-ha moment" that led you into tech?
The first time I searched the Internet in 1995. I just couldn't believe "all" that information was out there.

What has been your most radical career shift, and how risky was it?
Starting 23andMe has been my most radical career shift but I've never thought about it as being so risky. I worry more about what health care will be like in 20 years if nothing changes.

What was your toughest day, and what did you learn from it?
I learned that if I love what I am doing, bad days just aren't that bad.

What technological advance are you most excited about?
I think we're going to see some really amazing advances in energy. Personally, I'd love to see someone create a practical Jet Pack but no one is working on it.
