Jake Teschow was a longtime customer before he applied for a job at Galactic. "I enjoyed the whole idea of the restaurant being about sustainability because those are ideals I like to live by in my everyday life," he says. A friend of Teschow suggested the 21-year old take on the identity of Merman: "I can deliver pizza by water, but since there's no water between the store and the customer's door, I just go by foot. Also, I'm an underwater basket-weaving champion."
