Why Salary.com: Salary.com's modular software let Jennifer Edney, a business analyst with Edney Distributing, cherry-pick only those features, such as review forms and competency libraries, that serve the farm-equipment distributor's modest needs. "Because we're a small business, we don't need a lot of those extra features like payroll," says Edney. "Now we're only paying for the features we want."
