This small suburban Milwaukee county on the shores of Lake Michigan is highly navigable under human power, which is perhaps why its residents enjoy such longevity.

Ozaukee Interurban Trail is a 30-mile converted passenger rail line that now serves walkers, joggers, and cyclists. The trail visits nearly all of Ozaukee's towns, including scenic Port Washington, whose pierhead light is a local icon. The county also offers two very affordable public golf courses.
