Honda's new Insight will be a five-passenger car priced lower than the competing Prius. Like the Prius, it will be hybrid-only, so unlike the Honda Civic Hybrid or Toyota Camry Hybrid, there will be no non-hybrid version of this car. It will go on sale in April.
Honda promises fuel economy of 40 miles per gallon in the city and 43 on the highway. That would still put it well below the new 2010 Toyota Prius's promised fuel economy of 50 mpg in combined driving.
