The flagship of the Lexus brand, the LS full-size sedan was introduced in 1989 and quickly earned a following for its prestige and reliability. When the ultra-quiet LS600 sedan debuted in 2008, it became the first vehicle to bring hybrid green technology into the luxury market.

With a $106,000 price tag, about 1,000 were sold last year. The LS600 was also the first luxury vehicle to combine a 5-liter V8 gas engine with an all-wheel-drive hybrid drivetrain.
