Despite the investment firm's losses from beleaguered giants such as Wells Fargo, Warren Buffett's baby made lemonade out of lemons: The firm invested $3 billion in General Electric and $5 billion in Goldman Sachs and the company posted average $3,224 profit per share for 2008.
