In addition to unemployment
In addition to unemployment
DaisyMay Rader
Age: 54
Profession: Drug and rehabilitation counselor
Holiday job: Sales associate at Macy's
Location: Minneapolis, Minn.
Pay: $8.50 an hour

"I've been on unemployment for 10 months! I've never ever been that long without a job. I have a master's degree. What in the world! I was looking for anything. I put my pride down. I applied online and the next thing I know, Macy's called me and so I just decided to go with it.

I haven't done retail since 1989. Now I'm working with suits and dresses. I'm grateful. Since it's part time I can still make unemployment. Without this job, some bills wouldn't be paid. Worst case scenario I would have filed for bankruptcy."
