For years, San Diego was a fantasyland for empty-nesters, with its 75-degree weather and skyrocketing prices. And this five-bedroom home, which was recently listed and is just a five-minute drive from the beach, would likely have been no exception a few years ago.
But the market is moving closer to reality these days. Prices have fallen 22% in the past year and 42% from their peak, according to the S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Indices.
