Bernard Madoff's Palm Beach getaway is no longer on the shopping block.

After multiple offers, the home sold Friday for $5.65 million, according to the U.S. Marshals Service. It had been on the market for almost a year. The U.S. Marshals and the Corcoran Group -- the real estate company that listed the home -- declined to identify the buyer.

Here's a look at what you missed:

Dense tropical plantings, such as banana, palm and fig trees, shield the front of the Palm Beach house from prying eyes. The double veranda gives the house an antebellum air.
