For advice on the best workout - and the gear to go with it - for the busy small business owner, Fortune Small Business talked to Brett Hoebel, CEO of Hoebel Fitness in New York City, which offers personal training and group exercise classes with a Brazilian martial arts theme.

"Start with something you can manage," Hoebel suggests. That can be as simple as doing five push-ups a day or taking the stairs to your office instead of the elevator.
"Pick something you can do consistently," he adds. "A few months later you could be doing 10 push-ups daily or jogging up those stairs." Ideally, you should build up to a 30-minute routine at least three times a week.
