CEO, BlackRock

Sales growth rank: 2

Fink has transformed BlackRock into the biggest money-management firm on the planet -- with more than $3.4 trillion in assets -- by merging with Barclays Global Investors late last year. This summer the company launched the BlackRock Build America Bond Trust, a separately traded offshoot that invests primarily in taxable municipal securities. It also jumped on the gold bandwagon, creating a new mutual fund that focuses on gold-related securities, and making its iShares gold ETF more accessible to small investors.
