Paulding County is part of the huge expansion of Greater Atlanta that has gobbled up many distant exurbs over the past few decades. The good schools, safe streets and room to roam attract bargain-hunting buyers, according to Coldwell Banker real estate agent Jerry Niemeyer."There're terrific deals in Paulding County, especially for first-time homebuyers," he said.
Helping feed that supply of homes for sale is a moderately high foreclosure rate. A total of 271 homes received some kind of foreclosure filing during May, the 10th most among Georgia's 159 counties. There were 107 bank repossessions during the month.
