Sales down 40%: Blitz Shaved Ice and Food

Sales at this outdoor food stand dropped 40% this July compared to last year. That makes it hard for Cathy Cecil, who bought the business in October from its previous owner, to pay down the investments she's made in her new business. To help cover expenses, she rounded up family members to work shifts behind the counter.

Cecil's second Blitz location, near Destin's harbor, is currently closed. With few charter boats going out, the tourist traffic retailers rely on there has dried up.
