Volvo sells the fun and elegant little XC60 largely on the strength of fancy technology like "city safety." This system will hit the brakes for you, even bringing the XC60 to a complete stop from a slow speed, if you're approaching something and you touch neither the brakes nor the gas.
That's cool tech but, in real life, that circumstance probably doesn't occur very often. You'd have to be unconscious. Instead, let's concentrate on how nice the XC60 looks inside and out and what a pleasure it is to drive. Volvo typically offers laid-back performance and the XC60 delivers on that. It's plenty quick and fun to drive but never twitchy or aggressive feeling. It's also nicely practical.
