Get ready for cars that think
Ford, with other major car makers, will soon launch a new system called V2V (for vehicle-to-vehicle) that allows cars to communicate with one another in real time.
Wi-Fi receivers in cars constantly communicate with roadside units connected to a traffic management center. Cars caught in a traffic jam will signal so approaching vehicles can find a better route.
