Make a Mobile Comeback
Samsung was slow to develop smartphones, but when it finally launched its flagship Galaxy S model on the Android platform, it sold more than 10 million units around the world in 2010, trouncing expectations and positioning Samsung to overtake Nokia-Siemens as the world's global mobile leader. A bonus: Since it's also a top maker of the DRAM chips inside, soaring mobile-phone sales give the company a double pop.
