New York City government has gone digital, thanks to social media maven Sterne. Under her leadership (no doubt having nearly 25,000 Twitter followers helps the ideas keep coming), the city is redesigning nyc.gov and attempting to increase engagement between New Yorkers and their government. In May, Sterne and Mayor Mike Bloomberg unveiled the city's new digital roadmap, a comprehensive plan for future digital media overhaul plans. Expect other cities to soon hire their own Rachel Sternes.
