Google Senior VP and CFO Patrick Pichette
Title: Senior VP and CFO
CEO: Eric Schmidt, $313,219*
Pay difference: $22.3 million
Google's ruling triumvirate -- co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, plus CEO-turned-chairman Eric Schmidt -- each own billions in Google stock. Since 2005, they've taken just
$1 a year in annual salary and passed up most other perks.
That leaves CFO Patrick Pichette, who joined Google in 2008, as the company's highest-paid executive. (He just barely edged out Chief Business Officer Nikesh Arora, who also collected $22.6 million last year.) On top of a $492,115 salary and $2.7 million cash bonus, Pichette took home $19 million in stock and options in 2010. Eric Schmidt, Google's CEO at the time, netted just $313,219 from Google, most of it spent on personal security.
