Cardholders who enroll in this quarter's bonus rewards offer can get 5% cash back on purchases at department stores, clothing stores, electronic stores and toy stores through Dec. 31 and 1% cash back on all other purchases. Those who spend $750 within the first three months of opening an account will get $150 cash back.

Shoppers can also earn extra cash back rewards by shopping for gifts through the Citi Bonus Cash Center, which has more than 400 retailer partners.
