Days off/year: 4-5 weeks
Like Google, SAS is known for its impressive employee perks. The software company offers unlimited sick leave for employees and family members. And all employees are eligible for three weeks of vacation and one week between Christmas and New Years when the company's offices are closed. Employees who have been at SAS for 10 years qualify for an extra week off, coming to a total of five weeks of annual vacation time.
While SAS' vacation policies are likely the envy of many a worker, life on the job at the company is not too shabby either.
The company offers several services that employees at other jobs would need to go elsewhere to obtain, such as an in-house hair salon and day care facility. Indeed, SAS has been a star on Fortune's "Best Companies to Work For" list for 14 years, and it is the top-ranked company on this year's list.
