Turning tragedy into triumph

These seven survivors of the terrorist attacks of September 11th rebuilt their lives in the wake of the tragedy. They also changed careers and started businesses.


For many of those who survived the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center, the tragedy of that day proved to be ongoing. They may not have lost their lives, but many lost their livelihoods.

Picking up the pieces and finding the fortitude to keep going was a challenge for these survivors, but some found new lives and new dreams amidst the ashes. Here are seven.
