Sony cuts 10,000 jobs
After enduring four straight years of losses, Sony is cutting 10,000 jobs, or roughly 6% of its global workforce this fiscal year.

The electronics giant has struggled to revive its losing television business, which hasn't turned a profit in eight years.

As the company cuts jobs, it plans to keep investing in research and development and expanding its products in the digital, gaming and mobile markets.
