Henry Chow
Former Chairman and CEO of IBM Greater China Group
Age: 65

Henry Chow, who laid the foundations in China for IBM during his 40-year career at the tech giant, is undoubtedly a representative figure of his times. IBM saw great changes in China during that period -- Chow helped create IBM's global service center and global innovation center, established a personnel training system, and turned China into a strategic market for IBM.

Chow also played an influential role in the sales of IBM's PC business to China's Lenovo Group. Thanks to his leadership, the IBM Greater China Group is no longer merely an important source of sales revenue for IBM, but also an important source of technology, manpower and services.
