The Navy Federal Credit Union has never had a layoff in its 79 years in business. "We have talked to our recruiting staff so many times about what people are looking for in a job, and that is job stability," says Louise Foreman, executive vice president of human resources. In the past, when one part of the company has slowed down, they have been able to relocate those employees to other departments to avoid layoffs.
