Grove's bamboo cases are popular because they are environmentally friendly and made in the U.S.A., said co-founder Ken Tomita. The process starts with drawings. For the newest design, Tomita said they dug up an old prototype. But they've added a new feature: The cover now attaches permanently to the wood case.
