Mark Zuckerberg launches Facemash, Harvard's version of "Hot or Not." The contentious site drew criticism for putting photos of students side-by-side and asking users to choose who was more attractive. FaceMash reportedly drew 450 visitors and 22,000 page views during its first evening online.
