MSD Capital, Michael Dell's investment company, acquired 185,000 vintage photos in one of the largest photo transactions ever. The print archives of Magnum Photos, started by superstar photographers like Henri Cartier-Bresson, is insured for more than $100 million.

The collection includes works by 103 photographers taken between the 1930s and 1998. It ranges from images of iconic moments of World War II to portraits of famed faces from Gandhi to Kennedy.
