This is the only American car you'll see in this gallery. Besides garden tractors, Cheston Lee Eshelman also made tiny cars that he advertised in magazines like Popular Mechanics. Selling points were 70 mile per gallon fuel economy and a purchase price just a fraction of what other new cars cost. It was very much like a tractor, though, powered by an air-cooled Briggs & Stratton engine and with paddle brakes that pressed against the tires.
