As the son of a former GM (GM, Fortune 500) president, Reuss has always had an outsize profile at the company. Now he becomes a marked man for the second time, having been anointed by former chairman CEO Ed Whitacre as his favorite candidate to lead GM in the future. Reuss won't be resting on his laurels. This spring, he has to launch GM's big moneymakers -- its pickup trucks -- and make good on his pledge to shore up the automaker's incredibly shrinking market share.
