WPP and Millward Brown's ranking of the top brands in China features tech companies, oil and gas pioneers and a baijiu maker.
Communications services company WPP and research agency Millward Brown have released a new ranking of China's 50 most valuable brands.
CNNMoney features the top 10 brands here, and there are a few surprises. Tech companies got a boost in this year's rankings, while some other companies with global name recognition -- like Lenovo, Air China and Haier -- didn't make the top 10.
At the top is China Mobile, one of the world's largest wireless providers. With 1.3 billion potential customers in China, it's easy to see the opportunity for growth.
