The Italian auto body company Zagato -- one of the few so-called "coachbuilders" still in business today -- created the bodies for many of Alfa Romeo's earliest and most successful race cars, including this one. Enzo Ferrari, who later launched his own eponymous racing car company, was one of the drivers who made his career driving Zagato-bodied Alfas like this one.
