Air France: La Première First Class

Best airline beds AirFrance La Premiere double

You may be 35,000 feet above the ocean, but in Air France's La Première First Class cabin the vibe is Parisian hotel chic. The dinners are created by chef Daniel Boulud. For a nightcap, you can enjoy a fresh flute of Champagne. The sheets are crisp and white, topped with a fluffy duvet.

The bed itself measures 6.5 feet long fully flat and 30 inches wide -- one of the largest sleeping surfaces available on a commercial aircraft. La Première is best enjoyed on the airline's Boeing 777-300ER, with its intimate cabin of only four suites. (The Airbus A380 has nine.) Floor-to-ceiling curtains include a magnetic closure to provide plenty of privacy.
