Although bonuses since 2009 have dropped at this Seattle, WA-based law firm, things are starting to turn around. In 2011, staff bonuses were up by 0.5%.
Employees here can rest easier as they work into retirement. The firm kicks in 7.3% of staff members' annual compensation into defined contribution retirement accounts. It also offers a 401k savings option that includes a match for staff of 50 cents on the dollar for up to 6% of annual salary.
And let's not forget Spot the dog. Perkins Coie considers pets parts of the family too; it offers pet insurance. A few other perks: Feeling down? A "happiness committee" leaves gifts at workstations and perform other random acts of kindness. Sick? A taxi ride home is on the house.
