For water lovers, Sammamish's big draw is its namesake lake, which stretches along the community's western border and allows residents to water ski, boat, and swim. Two other small lakes within the city's borders offer additional beach access, along with a number of parks.
Two school districts -- ranked 5th and 8th in the state -- cover the region, and residents can reach Redmond, Bellevue, and Seattle in 30 minutes or less.
