Mark Warner is the only senator to make the list of top 5 wealthiest in Congress.
Warner was an early investor in the cellular telephone business. He co-founded the company that became Nextel, which eventually merged with Sprint. He also invested in hundreds of start-up technology firms, according to his biography.
Warner, who won election to the Senate in 2008, has assets totaling between $96.2 million and $418.7 million in a wide range of investments.
He has zero liabilities, according to his 2012 financial disclosure forms.
