Online travel heats up
A slew of new search and booking sites elbowed their way onto the crowded U.S. market in 2013, providing new options for travelers and forcing the whole industry to work harder to woo consumers, says Douglas Quinby of research firm PhoCusWright.
Americans headed to Europe can now book last-minute lodging using the Blink by Groupon app. Meanwhile, Booking.com lets you cancel many hotel reservations penalty-free (this is now more common on giant Expedia too).

A new iPhone and Android app called Wallaby keeps track of earn rates, categories, and restrictions on your cards. Wallaby even knows what kind of store you're in MONEY found it accurate in our test -- and suggests which card to use.
