You don't see Pharrell walking down the hallways in most global corporations. But that's what makes working for adidas different. New hires are put at the intersection of sport and fashion at one of the most well-known brands across the world.

The company is also big on making sure that young talent have the chance to work in different parts of the business, in what it calls its "talent carousel." Here's how it works: Employees rotate through different offices globally or in different functions within the company for about two years, and they're given a lot of mentoring and advice in the process.

"We want to partner with individuals to have opportunities to build their journey," said Karen Parkin, chief HR officer at adidas. "We're going to invest in you, move you, give you key roles throughout all the markets, and after two years, we offer you another opportunity."
