Rumors have swirled for months about which designer has been commissioned to create Markle's wedding dress.

A leading contender is Ralph & Russo, a high-end British brand that designed the dress Markle wore in her official engagement photos. The black and gold gown had a reported $75,000 price tag.

The fashion house declined to comment for this story.

Mark Niemierko, a celebrity wedding planner, estimates Markle's wedding dress could cost around £250,000 ($340,000).

One dress may not be enough for this occasion. Markle may follow in the footsteps of her soon-to-be sister-in-law, Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, who wore a second dress to her evening reception.
