What makes it great: Deloitte edged out PwC this year to become the world's largest professional services firm. Employees at the growing firm enjoy challenging assignments and great opportunities for career growth, says Stevan Rolls, the United Kingdom head of human resources. Deloitte prides itself on its massive training facility in Westlake, Texas -- aptly titled Deloitte University --where staff members learn technical skills and develop a strong network of peers.

What they're looking for: Deloitte will hire about 50,000 people this year for auditing, financial advisory, consulting and other jobs. People who are great with numbers and motivated by client service roles have an edge, Rolls says.
