Yahoo Axis
Yahoo has axed Axis, its mobile-optimized search tool, just one year after it launched. Axis focused on the visual aspect of search, including a preview of the sites linked to on its search results page. Axis launched with some fanfare, but Yahoo said little about it after that. Marissa Mayer took over as Yahoo CEO soon after, and Axis didn't fit into her view of Yahoo mobile.
