New unmanned drones could drastically change the nature of the fight against wildfires. They can safely gather more information about fire conditions than is currently available and quickly send that information to firefighters on the ground.
Drones can also hover over dead-signal zones, providing Internet access for firefighters to get up-to-the-minute data and communications about the fire they're battling.
