Security Express
By Jesse Freund

(Business 2.0) – Hoping to speed business travelers through airport screening more quickly, the Transportation Security Administration will launch a pilot version of its "registered traveler" program in late June. Under the plan, fliers who voluntarily submit to a security assessment will enjoy express check-in. Privacy groups are predictably dismayed, but business travelers remain enthusiastic about the plan. Despite the TSA's previous passenger-data gaffes, the Association of Corporate Travel Executives reports that 85 percent of business travelers support the TSA's proposal, and 73 percent would pay $100 annually to participate in the program.
