(Business 2.0 Magazine) -- We may not have reached the stage of three-course meals in a single pill, as science-fiction writers once predicted for the 21st century, but the food business of 2006 is still ripe with new ideas.

Here's a smorgasbord of the hottest ones from this summer's Fancy Food Show, held in New York by the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade. Drawing inspiration from Europe, the catering industry, and the U.S. military, these products will all be on store shelves by the end of the year.
