The Idea: The Travelocity of shipping

Tech entrepreneur William Van Wyck has hit on one of those why-didn't-anybody-think-of-this-before ideas: a one-stop shipping site.

RedRoller.com lets people search shipping services by price, carrier, or delivery time. They can also buy and print labels and arrange for pickups. To ensure the latest rates, RedRoller's Web service is tied directly into DHL, Eastern Connection, FedEx (Charts), Overnite Express, and the U.S. Postal Service (but not UPS).

Officially launching late this fall, RedRoller plans to make money by taking a cut of shipping fees and licensing its search engine.  Top of page
